Social Security Disability

Social Security defines ‘disability” as meaning when a person is unable to engage in any substantial gainful activity by reason of any medically determinable physical condition or mental impairment which can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months or result in death. If a person is disabled within the meaning of the Social Security Act, that person may receive Social Security Disability benefits.
